Through research and education, the institute aims to improve the quality of life of those with an ear disease or hearing or balance disorder. Scientists are exploring the causes of auditory disorders on the cellular and molecular level as well as refining the application of auditory implants and hearing aids. The Children's' Center offers a full range of pediatric hearing tests, otologic and audiologic evaluation and treatment, rehabilitation, hearing aid dispensing, and cochlear implant services.
